A really nice hotel with extremely friendly staff. All receptionists could speak english. I travelled with my teenage daughter, and we both enjoyed it. The breakfast was tasty and varied (continental-style), rooms clean, beds comfortable, wifi worked, etc. Windows kept out traffic noice surprisingly well. Curtains kept out all light. The neighbor-hood was totally packed with cafes, bars and restaurants, so it was easy to find delicious and affordable meals. Bonus: it felt very safe, even in the late evenings. Reception was always open, so we didn't have to worry about arriving in time. The first day we arrived too early for check in (from 2 pm), but they offered to keep our suitcases in a securely locked room. The hotel is approx. 100 m from metro Rue st. Maur - very convenient. (Newbie in Paris? Please notice that the first time, you buy a Metro ticket, you are charged an extra fee for the cardboard card. Keep that card, as it can be recharged when next you use the metro, meaning you only pay the extra fee once)

Great location, really near to the metro and only 20 minutes from Gare du Nord. Whilst not huge, the room felt modern, clean and the beds were very comfortable. Great to have the option of air conditioning and also great to have little things like a hairdryer, usb charging points, basic toiletries and the option to make coffee. Every member of staff we met were welcoming and friendly, it really is a charming little hotel and ideal for short stays in Paris. Really recommend Les Cuivres for dinner - just 2 minutes from the hotel and the food and service was superb!

Hotel was in the ideal location for us when visiting son. Close to Metro station. Walking distance to most attractions. The room was facing the street and was quiet. Plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. Staff was friendly and helpful. Close to a self-serve laundry. Bed was comfortable, as in most Paris Hotels room was on the small side.

Kind staff both receptionists and housekeeping. Clean rooms with AC (we was also lucky to have a nice view from 6th floor). Minibar that could be used as a small fridge, 2 big mirrors, desk, kettle and little seating area. Hotel was situated in a lovely and quiet area in the 11th. Right next to the metro station Rue Saint Maur. Would recommend!

Everything was great! Spacious, clean, newly renovated, comfortable... TV, coffee/tea, wardrobe, luggage table, spacious bathroom. The staff was super friendly (especially the guy who checked us in – I don't remember his name; it was a tall guy with glasses and long hair in a neat bun, he was super nice!). The location is perfect; a 2 minutes walk to Parmentier metro station; lots of bars and restaurants in the area (yet we heard nothing from our room). Everything was great! :)

We had a perfect stay at Hotel Verlain. We weren’t sure what to expect as we felt the price was very budget and we were worried this would be reflected in the quality but the hotel was excellent. Very clean and comfortable with excellent en-suite facilities and air-conditioning. The location is fabulous and you couldn’t fault the staff. The 11th arrondissement is an ideal place to be and the hotel is minutes away from lovely bars, restaurants, supermarkets and excellent bakeries. It’s also very well connected with excellent public transport links. There’s a great rum bar directly opposite the hotel too (30 seconds). We had worried about being bothered by noise as it’s a lively area but had no issues whatsoever and would highly recommend this hotel. Thank you so much!

Well-equipped hotel and room in a good neighborhood (in our opinion). One of the receptionist was extremely kind and helpful. Good value for money taking into consideration the rates in Paris.

We liked the ambience of the reception and found the owner, staff members Khalid and Irmgard very friendly, welcoming and helpful. We love the area of Oberkampf, thus the location suited us. The room was on the smaller side for us Aussies, but extremely clean and charming. The bathroom seemed like new. My partner enjoyed a very good breakfast in the hotel . All in all a great stay, and should we come to Paris again we would re-book the Verlain. Thank you Khalid and Irmgard for a pleasant stay.

Helpful, laid back hosts, very well laid out room, lively location close to a wide variety of restaurants and great access to transit. A short walk to Père Lachaise cemetary and an easy, shopping filled walk to the museums and galleries by the river.

Great location right across road from metro. Easy access to the big attractions. I travelled with my 11yo daughter and it was great. Plenty of good food options and a minimart in the neighbourhood. The property is beautiful. Everything we needed, nothing we didn’t. Very comfortable beds and a surprisingly quiet stay. Love the window that opens out above the street, just so pretty. Air con, great bathroom, super clean. We were very happy here. Staff very helpful and didn’t mind speaking English at all. Safe and fridge in room.
